One of the oldest grand hotels in Tripoli, conveniently located next to the harbour, not far from Green Square.

Official category: 5 stars. Situated right next to the harbour. Distance of the airport 36 km. Along the boardwalk are restaurants and places for outdoor refreshment. In the background is the Al Kabir (the Grand) Hotel where I stayed on each of my visits to Libya.

  • Rated "Top end" by Lonely Planet: One of Tripoli's top otels and very close to Green Square. Has very comfortable if unspectacular rooms. The views from the top floors can be superb. It's a favourite of people on government business.
